How It Works ?

mReporter

Quick Install on Mobile
Step 1: Install mreporter.jar files on mobile as per one of following ways:

  • OTA Installation :
    • Over The Air installation. You can download mreporter.jar file from mobile application link in this application to your mobile or PC
  • Using Bluetooth :
    • If you have Bluetooth dongle (device) on your PC then you can simply send mreporter.jar file on your mobile.
  • Using data cable :
    • You can transfer mreporter.jar file using data cable on your mobile. For that just copy JAR/JAD file on mobile folder named like: Applications, Others etc..


Step 2 : Go to Main menu - > Manager (application manager) menu in mobile and choose mreporter In some mobile there is option like "Permissions" like that. select option->settings and set settings as bellow

  • 1. Network access -> ask first time or always allowed
  • 2. Multimedia -> ask first time or always allowed

Step 3: Go to back in to main menu and start mreporter application.

Step 4: Choose Settings option to set Server path, User name, Password, Camera ID for authentication to server. And you can also set delay for capture and upload images to the server.

Step 5 : Choose Test Connection to check that your GPRS connection is working properly or not? If server path is wrong, then also Test Connection may be failed.

Step 6 : Choose Test Camera to check mobile device camera enabled or not? Some of mobile handset does not allow to access multimedia (camera) resources to external application. In that case Test camera may be failed. (Note: - Both test cases must be OK (success) before using application)

Step 7: Choose Login option to start mreporter application; it will login to server, If login success then mobile device camera turn on and it will provide connect option on the screen.

Step 8: Choose Connect option to upload camera images on the server. Now application will capture and upload images on the server at predefined delay time.

Step 9: It will prompt 2 times for using multimedia resource and network access give yes to both. After that it will list GPRS access points; choose as per your SIM card (GPRS provider)

Step 10: Put your mobile at specific place for which you want to view images on the live site.

Step 11 : Now application has successfully started and ready to work. Application will capture image and upload it to specified live server at regular interval of times as per settings configured in mobile.

Note: On some handsets (like Sony ericsson) there is option named "Settings for java" like that. So choose it and set as Internet profile as per current GPRS provider. If connection problem occurred while uploading image then application will try to connect automatically for 3 Times. If connection problem remain same more then 3 times then it will disconnect from the server.


How to view images on Website?


Mobile setup is now ready to use

To view images from mobile on live site type following URL on your web

Browser on to your pc, which is connected to Internet:
http://www.mcameraapps.com/


Here in home page it will ask for Login to server with same user name and password that you have specified in mobile device.
Now you can manage you uploaded images as well as can see current continuously updating image on the site.

Note: Image quality as per your mobile camera resolution

 

IReporter

Quick Installation on PC


Step 1: Create an account on mcameraApps. Download the setup from website.

Step 2: Install an IReporter application on your desktop.

Step 3: Connect webcam to your desktop

Step 4: After installation is completed successfully please configure your username, password and observation interval.

Step 5: Lunch IReporter on your desktop

Step 6: You can now monitor recorded desktop screen at www.mcameraapps.com.

How to view images on Website?

To view images from Desktop on live site type following URL on your web browser on to your pc, this is connected to Internet:

http://www.mcameraapps.com/


Here at home page it will ask for Login to server with same user name and password that you have configured for IReporter.


Now you can manage you uploaded images as well as can see current continuously updating image on the site.

Please make sure PC is well connected with internet all time to be able to transfer images from desktop to server via HTTP.
